Vinegar and Baking Soda

Soak a sponge or clean cloth into the mixture and use this in cleaning the interior of the microwave.

In a separate microwave-safe bowl, combine the same parts of white vinegar and water. Put the bowl inside the unit and be sure to set it on high power for about three minutes or until the water has boiled. Let it stay there for 10 minutes so the steam can spread all over the interior. Window Cleaner Solution

If you would like to use a window cleaner solution, then be sure to dilute them before using them. Combine one part of the water with two parts of the window cleaner. This solution is already enough in cleaning the interior and exterior parts of your unit. Soak a sponge into the solution and use this in cleaning the interior. Take out the carousel so you can clean the base of the microwave. Be sure to clean the upper shelf, vents, and ceiling.

To make sure that it is thoroughly cleaned, get a clean rag and soak it in water. Use the rag in removing any remaining residue. Use olive oil in removing any tough spots. Let it dry and smell the interior. If there are any remaining scent of the window cleaner, then wipe it with a wet cloth.

The best solution would be to choose an odor-free commercial cleanser. After you have done cleaning, then leave the door open for one hour or more. Be careful when using commercial cleanser inside your oven.

Cleaning the Exterior of the Microwave

Finally, after you are done cleaning the interior, the next step is to clean the outside part of your microwave oven. Use a clean cloth and wipe the top, sides, front, and back of the oven.
